On June 21, 2024, Shi Zhengrong, Chairman of PAVLN Security Technology Ltd., and his entourage visited the Department of Fire Protection Engineering of Central South University to hold an in-depth exchange seminar. Centering on the core of "industry-education integration, university-enterprise collaboration", this exchange aimed to build a linkage bridge between fire protection industry practice and university scientific research and teaching, promoting the in-depth integration of technological innovation, talent training and industrialization of scientific research achievements in the field of fire protection engineering. Professor Xu Zhisheng, Professor Fan Chuangang, Associate Professor Shen Yongjiang and other leaders and representatives of teachers and students from the Department of Fire Protection Engineering of Central South University warmly received and accompanied the group throughout the event. The two parties conducted in-depth discussions on core topics, laying a solid foundation for in-depth school-enterprise cooperation.

Before the seminar, accompanied by Professor Xu Zhisheng and others, Chairman Shi Zhengrong successively visited the National Engineering Research Center for High-Speed Railway Construction Technology, the Institute of Disaster Prevention Science and Safety Technology, and the Undergraduate Laboratory of Fire Protection Engineering of Central South University, conducting on-site inspections of the university's fire protection scientific research platforms, R&D projects and teaching achievements. He carefully inspected the configuration and application of experimental equipment, detailedly understood the research directions and technological breakthroughs in fields such as fire prevention and control and emergency rescue, and highly praised Central South University for its scientific research accumulation, innovation capacity and effectiveness in achievements transformation. He believed that the two parties have complementary advantages and broad space for cooperation.

Subsequently, the two parties held a seminar presided over by Professor Xu Zhisheng. Professor Fan Chuangang comprehensively introduced the discipline construction, faculty strength, talent training model and the transformation of scientific research achievements of the fire protection engineering major. Combining PAVLN's development history and full industrial chain layout, Chairman Shi Zhengrong shared the company's practical experience in fields such as fire protection product R&D, engineering construction and facility maintenance, and conducted in-depth exchanges with the university on topics such as the optimization of discipline construction, the orientation of talent needs and the innovation of cooperation models. Finally, the two parties reached several consensuses on joint talent training, the construction of practice bases and the landing of scientific research achievements.

After the seminar, Chairman Shi Zhengrong was invited to give a special lecture on "Overview, Development Prospects and Employment Guidance of the Fire Protection Engineering Industry" to all teachers and students. Focusing on industry trends and combining practical cases, he analyzed the current situation and prospects of various fields in fire protection engineering, focused on sharing opportunities in emerging fields such as new energy fire protection and smart fire protection, and put forward targeted suggestions for students' career planning and ability training based on his own experience, clarifying the development path. The lecture won warm applause from teachers and students.

The Department of Fire Safety Engineering (DFSE) is affiliated to the School of Civil Engineering, Central South University (CSU) — a world-class university under China’s Double First-Class Initiative and Project 985, renowned for its interdisciplinary strength in civil engineering, materials science and safety technology. Founded in 2005 on the basis of the undergraduate program in Fire Safety Engineering established in 2003, the Department has evolved into a world-leading academic and research hub for fire safety engineering, standing at the forefront of global fire safety science and technology innovation, talent cultivation and industrial application.
