1. System Overview

The Foam Spray Fire Suppression System is a new type of fixed fire suppression system that combines foam fire suppression technology with water spray technology. The system utilizes a high-efficiency water-based foam concentrate which, under gas-driven pressure, is discharged through dedicated foam spray nozzles, uniformly and rapidly delivering the foam agent into the protected area to achieve rapid fire control and complete extinguishment.

The system integrates multiple proven technologies, including automatic control, gas-driven discharge, and zoned protection. It features high extinguishing efficiency, excellent system reliability, and simple installation and maintenance, and is widely applicable to small- and medium-scale flammable liquid fires and equipment fire protection scenarios.

3. Operating Principle

When a fire occurs within a protected area, the fire alarm control system issues an activation signal, and the system operates as follows:

  1. The solenoid-operated actuator is energized, releasing the driving gas  (nitrogen).

  2. The driving gas opens the propellant gas cylinder assembly, discharging compressed gas.

  3. The gas passes through a pressure-reducing device and enters the foam solution storage tank.

  4. The foam agent is forced into the agent distribution piping network.

  5. The foam agent is discharged and atomized through foam spray nozzles.

  6. A foam blanket is formed within the protected area, achieving rapid fire extinguishment.

Through zoning control valves, the system can provide independent discharge for single or multiple zones, improving operational efficiency and system utilization.
